The 8th Global Symposium on Health Systems Research

The CEPHAS team, Prof. Yusi Anggriani, Prof. Hesty Utami, Faradiba, Yunita Nugrahani, William Nathanael, attended the 8th Global Symposium on Health Systems Research on November 18-22, 2024, at the Dejima Messe building in Nagasaki, Japan, with the subject ‘Building Just and Sustainable Health Systems Centring People and Protecting the Planet’.

The event featured a variety of classes and organized sessions with experts from various countries, including Indonesia, and global NGOs who shared their experiences and perspectives on health financing, universal health coverage around the world, health economics, health purchasing, and various types of research such as implementation research, economic evaluation, and PEA analysis.

On this occasion, 22 November 2024 11.40-13.10 JST, Room 107, our leader Yusi Anggriani, representing CEPHAS and Pancasila University, delivered a session titled “Click here for meds! How to effectively govern the digital transformation of the pharmacy market”, in collaboration with London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine UK, The George Institute Global Health, Salient Advisory Nigeria, Pharmacy Council Ghana, and Vice President Public Health SwipeRx Vietnam. Professor Yusi presented one of the STARmeds study’s research findings entitled “How does medicine quality compare between online and brick and mortar pharmacies? An analysis of the chemical quality of retail medicine purchases in Indonesia.”
